Occupational therapy evaluates general development, fine motor, self-care, upper extremity function, visual-perceptual skills, sensory processing, eye-hand coordination, handwriting, motor planning, and play skills.  It also assesses the need for adaptive equipment or devices for positioning, seating, and to increase independence or caregiver ease of self-care skills.  In all services, parent involvement in treatment is encouraged and needed.
