Interventional Cardiology

Our Interventional Cardiology program provides a full spectrum of diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures.

services-interventional-cardiology.jpg Our state-of-the-art 3D rotational angiography and EchoNavigator equip us for interventional treatment of any pediatric or adult patient with congenital or structural forms of heart disease, ranging from a premature infant to a 65-year-old adult and beyond.

Whenever possible, we choose minimally invasive approaches to treat heart disease.

We strongly believe in employing new technologies and novel approaches to common problems like holes in the heart or dysfunctional valves.

These problems can often be treated by catheterization rather than open-heart surgery, allowing patients to leave the hospital feeling better sooner, and usually with a small bandage instead of a surgical scar.

For select cases, our interventional cardiologists work directly with our surgeons to offer interventions in a hybrid approach. By leveraging the collaborative expertise of these elite providers, we can minimize risks and maximize benefits.

Because we’re committed to providing patients with the best care possible, we voluntarily participate in the National Cardiovascular Data Registry’s IMPACT Registry® (Improving Pediatric and Adult Congenital Treatment), the largest multi-center clinical registry that collects data on pediatric and adult patients undergoing diagnostic catheterizations and catheter-based interventions.

Participation allows us to support the development of evidence-based guidelines for congenital heart defect treatment and improve outcomes for patients of all ages.
