Innovation & Education
Collaboration and teamwork is crucial in not only saving lives, but in fulfilling our Mission to serve with the greatest care and love. Jump Trading Simulation & Education Center (Jump) is an incubator where innovation is leading the transformation of health care worldwide. Through collaboration with OSF HealthCare and University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria, Jump programs and objectives are key to improving the safety, effectiveness and efficiency of care for community members across the region.
University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria (UICOMP) is one of four campuses that make up the nation’s largest public medical school. Our close collaboration with UICOMP makes Children’s Hospital of Illinois the major pediatric teaching affiliate for UICOMP – and the only site of pediatric training for medical students & residents in central Illinois.
Through our collaboration with Jump Simulation & Education Center, we’re bringing cardiologists and surgeons exact 3D printed replicas of their patients’ hearts. Giving surgeons and physicians the chance to hold a physical 3D model creates a vastly improved understanding of each patient’s unique heart and how best to treat it – before surgery.
