Perinatal Heart Program

This program is one component of the comprehensive services offered at the Congenital Heart Center. It is unique because our congenital cardiologists work in a close collaborative relationship with the Adult Congenital Heart Program, Maternal Fetal Medicine, and Congenital Cardiac Surgery. This team approach allows us to provide excellent care and support for women and families who are faced with concerns regarding cardiac abnormalities in the mother and/or unborn child. The Perinatal Heart Program at Children’s Hospital of Illinois Congenital Heart Center is the only one in the central and northern region of Illinois to be ICAEL certified.

We host an annual fetal seminar focusing on specific topics related to fetal echocardiography. A guest speaker teaches hands-on skills training following lectures. For more information about this seminar, please visit our calendar of events.
